Roosevelt Island Film Festival is dedicated to the discovery of American and International filmmakers from around the world. The festival seeks to discover, support, and inspire quality independent feature films and short films, showcasing exceptional work to audiences and highlighting the categories of Female Filmmaker, NYC Filmmaker, Comedy, and International Filmmaker.
Toni Vitale is an Actor, Director, Producer and Acting/Business Coach. Toni began acting in various studios through out NYC asa young adult. Studying intense training through the Sanford Meisner technique launched her way into the film and television industry. Gaining knowledge and inspiration while working with production companies and on set opened additional passions in Directing, Producing and coaching actors. Her love for film and television prompted her to build a production company, TONI VITALE PRODUCTIONS, creating work in Film and Television as well as working with other artists creating the their vision through cinema. Her most current project's are "ADULT. ish..." and "SALTY" Television series in production, Short Films Sloane and Alice and a Dance Documentary. The army of creative talents to execute a visual story through cinema is an extraordinary experience.
Attending numerous film festivals and inspired by independent filmmaking impacted her mission to start her own film festival. Roosevelt Island was a suggested location, so she began scouting the beautiful island to find a home for the festival. The festival is IMDB approved and screens quality independent films from around the world. She is honored to screen exceptional work created by talented filmmakers and have them represent the legacy of The Roosevelt Island Film Festival yearly.
