Originally from Bristol, RI, Scott has lived in NYC since 1992. He attended Bentley College in Waltham, MA where he studied Management & Marketing and did his graduate studies in Arts Management at Texas Tech University. While at TTU, he also did extensive undergraduate course work in acting and directing which led him back to performing. Upon moving to Dallas, he worked at the Deep Elum Theater Garage and then booked a national tour. Following the tour, he moved to NYC. He supplemented his acting career with work as a freelance Casting Assistant for several Independent Casting offices until 1999 when he joined Charles Rosen Casting. Scott became a partner of Rosen & Wojcik casting in 2005. In 2009, the company transitioned to Wojcik | Seay Casting until 2021. Now as the owner of Wojcik Casting Team, Scott and his associates continue the tradition of full service casting for theaters around the country as well as tours and all forms of talent-based entertainment.
Owner / founder of MCS Theatre, a premier acting studio training actors to "get outta your head” using the Meisner Technique based in New York City since 2000. With an expanding roster of professional artists currently working in theater, television, and film, Matthew and MCS have also been the starting board for many to begin new careers in the arts – such as directors, writers, producers, casting directors, and more – and has been the home to many original works from our students and alumni. When Matthew created MCS he had a vision for a collaborative, expansive, and supportive artistic community for artists to build their craft with honor and integrity, and now in D.C. and Miami, MCS continues to build that community to stretch beyond New York City, and to always be your artistic home away from home. RIFF is proud to have him as a new judge this year.
